Bona Fides

This version of the Fendi Baguette is from the SS20, designed by Silvia Venturini Fendi and comes in white calfskin leather with painted-on floral embellishments in keeping with the light pastels and floral springtime theme of that collection.

It measures 27 cm/10.75 in in length, is 15 cm/6 in tall and 6 cm/2 in deep. This is one of the redesigned Baguettes for the 2019 relaunch, and as such, has two (2) ways of carry: handheld or crook of the arm and shoulder. The longer strap has a 34 cm/17 in drop so is more comfortable on the shoulder, but can be carried as a crossbody that sits a bit higher on necessity. Both straps are detachable so can be mixed up and used depending on the occasion. I personally wear my Baguette with both straps for daywear, for its versatility, and with the shorter strap only for dinners or night events. The front flap is secured magnetically with the iconic FF buckle. The magnetic clasp is tight and secure, so there is little risk of items falling out.

How to Wear the Fendi Baguette Medium?

Yes, you can explore groundbreaking fashion choices and wear the florals for spring (h/t Miranda Priestley), but I wear my floral white Fendi Baguette year-round. It is perfect with sundresses and linen in spring and summer, and I also like wearing it as a winter white, against a palette of darker colours, such as black and navy, for a pop.
